Pretty cool Hammond Organ dominated stoner band. These guys have been around for awhile, and their other releases feature the ex-lead singer of Las Cruces, a stoner band from the late 90's I believe. The guys' a pretty lame singer and I stayed away from the earlier Blood of the Sun releases because of that. On this one, somehow they got Derek St. Holmes from Ted Nugent's old band to handle the vocals, and he still sounds as strong as on the 70's Nugent records. The songs are pretty good although not that memorable, good musicianship. Only complaint would be the somewhat buried in the mix guitars, although audible could be much louder. Great Lucifer's Friend cover Keep Going, and the last track stands out as well. Overall solid but not outstanding. For new music of this type I would recommend Wicked Minds's "Witchflower" CD, those guys are Swedish, and for Hammond dominated retro stuff, it doesn't get much better.
