Heavy Load - Death Or Glory LP. Japanese pressing of their 1982 heavy metal release. Heavy Load was a Swedish heavy metal band from Stockholm. The band is often hailed as the first Swedish heavy metal band and was known for its Viking themes. They were formed in 1976, as a trio, by the two brothers Wahlquist (guitar, vocals, and drums), together with bassist Michael Backlund. In 1977 Heavy Load recorded their debut album "Full Speed At High Level" (released 1978), now with Dan Molen handling the bass playing. The record company, Heavy Sound Records, went bankrupt after a while (not because of Heavy Load I hope!), and the Wahlquist Bros. formed their own label, Thunderload Records, and recorded this follow-up 'Death Or Glory' album. It's an early heavy metal classic from 1982. This is the 1983 Japanese pressing on the Seven Seas label. Has an insert, no OBI. (m-/m-)
