BULL ANGUS - Bull Angus CD. First released on Mercury in 1971, the debut from this east-coast six-piece featured twin guitars, lots of organ interplay and soaring vocals. A superb blend of psychedelia and progressive, bringing to mind both Don Gallucci's Touch and Blue Oyster Cult in equal doses. Lead vocalist Franke Previte was previously in the garage group Oxford Watchband, formed Franke And The Knockouts in the 80's and went on to win both an Oscar and a Golden Globe for penning "(I've Had) The Time Of My Life", the wildly popular theme song from the wildly popular Patrick Swayze flick Dirty Dancing!? (sealed)
