Karion - Iron Shadows CD/DVD. KARION were contemporaries of WatchTower, Helstar, Juggernaut, S.A. Slayer and all the other great early to mid 80's metal acts that made the Texas metal scene legendary. KARION features the talents of mastermind/guitarist Art Villareal (of S.A. Slayer - 'Prepare To Die' fame), vocalist Chris Cronk (S.A. Slayer, Juggernaut, Jag Panzer), bassist Pete Perez (Riot, Spastic Ink, Leatherwolf), and drummer Frank Ferreira (Helstar).  Musically, KARION was very much a continuation of S.A. SLAYER, i.e. NWOBHM influenced metal (think early Iron Maiden) with a progressive edge. 'Iron Shadows' contains the band's demo recordings (incl. the song 'Panzer', originally recorded by S.A. Slayer for but not included on the 'Prepare To Die' EP!), re-mastered by former S.A. Slayer / Juggernaut guitarist Bob Catlin, and comes with a 9-song live DVD, filmed at the legendary Villa Fontana in San Antonio, TX. (sealed)
