Description
Ye Olde Metal: 1978 Book. Detailed examinations of classic 1978 albums, using new interviews with guys in the bands, maybe a little available press here and there. These are write-ups that are way more exhaustive than any commercially viable (!) book would ever dare. You know me, I just love getting the stories, no matter how few of us hard rock historian types care anymore.
This one's as power-packed as any so far, with more celebrated and mega-rare Rich Galbraith photos, cool old ads, 45 sleeves and other weird stuff. The book is 250 pages, full trade 6" x 9" dimension, and stuffed with trivia folks ain't never heard before - I guarantee it.
The chapters this time - and I gotta tell you, a couple of these, like the Ram Jam and the DMZ, are the best yet! - are:
* Hounds - Unleashed
* Yesterday And Today - Struck Down
* Frank Marino And Mahogany Rush - Live
* Teaze - On The Loose
* DMZ - DMZ
* The Dictators - Bloodbrothers
* Dead Boys - We Have Come For Your Children
* Styx - Pieces Of Eight
* Starz - Attention Shoppers!
* The Boyzz - Too Wild To Tame
* The Godz - The Godz
* Ram Jam - Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Ram
* Starz - Coliseum Rock
* Uriah Heep - Fallen Angel
* Pat Travers Band - Heat In The Street
* Streetheart - Meanwhile Back In Paris...
