Ashbury - Endless Skies LP. Long awaited, vinyl reissue of this enigmatic 70s style hard rock private press record buried by the sands of time! A real gem for fans of classic hard rock like Jethro Tull or Wishbone Ash and even those into 70s epic metal and such mysterious obscurities as Legend (From the Fjords) or even guitar-driven southern rockers like The Outlaws. Hypnotic vocal hooks and a mystical atmosphere mixing acoustic and electric guitars lure you into this group’s unmistakable hard rock sound and never let go. Ashbury were hidden treasure waiting to be unearthed when we made contact over 5 years ago and re-released their masterpiece “Endless Skies” on compact disc. Press:

"This is an incredible record. Vocalist is reminiscent at times of a very melodic Jethro Tull and is quite soothing. Though hard rock based, the lyrical content of a song like "The Warning" is more metal like, with a theme of a wizard's warning the people of their impending demise. Ending track "Endless Skies" is absolutely beautiful, complete with piano notations and beautiful melodies, before ending the 7 minute epic masterpiece with heavier guitars and catchy chorus work! THIS is what we work so hard for..." 5/6 - Metalpage.de

"What we have here is a guitar oriented album, with epic lyrical themes and majestic vocals all over the tracks. With visible influences of the 70s Hard Rock, the early Black Sabbath works, and Jethro Tull's sounds, this band has succeeded to create a unique masterpiece, one that's never gonna find a replacement once you hear it. On the record you'll find some OUTSTANDING I must say songs, came from another universe, full of emotion, lyrism and ethereal middle-ages sense." cy-metal.com

"It sounds like a mixture of Wishbone Ash (beautiful guitar melodies and sooth vocals)and 70's southern rock, with some slight touches of epic metal. There are many highlights here, songs that could compete with any great song of any great band. Randy Davis shines on guitar, he never strays from his goal, which is to deliver wonderful melodies. There's a lot of accoustic guitar here and epic semi-ballads like Madman or the absolute masterpiece Mystery man will convince you that this album belongs to the great ones." - justrealdiamonds.blog

"The music can be described as Hard Rock, venturing on the borders of becoming Heavy Metal, with memorable songwriting, full of hooks.. Guitars are aplenty, always melodic, provided by Randy Davis, whose hands are not prone to standing still, refusing to yield to pyrotechnics at the same time. The other Davis brother, Rob, assumes the vocals,  with a wonderfully, sometimes fragile,  warm voice, while providing a steady backdrop of acoustic guitar." - The Forgotten Scroll
