Thirsty Moon - Thirsty Moon LP. Originally released in 1972 on the famous German label Brain this is a true jewel of German progressive Rock. The seven band members use elements of Jazz as a means of spontaneous expressions and melt them together with the aggressiveness and rhythm of Rock! Comparisons with Kollektiv and Xhol were made but don't really do justice to the band´s music. The sound is unique. Among Thirsty Moon's characteristics were the massive use of percussions and electric piano in dynamic arrangements, heavy guitar riffs, ranging from soft, mellow atmospheres to psychedelic outbursts with reversed tapes and phasing effects. Great gatefold cover reissue on the Long Hair label. (sealed, m/m)
